Grant County Veterans Memorial

We are free today because of those who served our country. May we always be grateful to those who paid with their lives. Over 60 from Grant County have given the ultimate sacrifice.

The Veterans Memorial is located on Highway 79 near Prairie Ridge Hospital in Elbow Lake. The memorial was built to honor over 600 men and women from Grant County who have served their country.

Engraved memorial bricks for individual veterans are placed in two large raised granite display fixtures. Flags representing the five branches of military service, plus on in honor of MIAs back the displays. A large American flag flies proudly above. Four more granite memorials display the names of those killed in action. There are also several granite benches for those who wish to sit and reflect.

If you would like to purchase a memorial brick, contact one of the Grant County Veterans Memorial Service Organization (GCVMSO) directors. Please consider making a donation to the memorial.
